Enhance Saudi Arabia’s Energy Efficiency Program (SEEP)
Saudi Arabia has activated 80+ initiatives to help reach the three targets under the Saudi Green Initiative and achieve long-lasting positive change. The initiatives range from afforestation and biodiversity protection to emissions reduction and establishing new protected areas. Under SGI, Saudi Arabia is delivering against its aspirations to create a greener future for all, and is putting action and investment behind the country's commitment to sustainable development.
Implementing new energy efficiency standards across power generation, water desalination, and electricity transmission and distribution
Grow Riyadh’s GDP by up to 5% through a variety of activities such as increasing energy use from renewable sources to 50%, and recycling and reusing 100% of wastewater.ll These activities will contribute to creating up to 350,000 jobs.
Conduct high resolution aerial and drone mapping of terrestrial and shallow marine areas and develop a suite of GIS map layers of marine and terrestrial habitats across the TRSP and AMAALA Special Economic Zones.

Conduct terrestrial spatial planning exercise to establish network of land-based protected areas within the TRSP and AMAALA Special Economic Zones
Plant 1 million Mangrove Trees in Jizan. This initiative will help reduce air pollution and enhance air quality by absorbing pollutants; furthermore, it will help reduce coastal erosion.
